Dormition of the Mother of God
As a cornerstone of Ukrainian Catholic presence in the Okanagan Valley, this parish provides a spiritual home for residents and visitors in British Columbia’s interior. The church is a hub for the local Ukrainian community, hosting seasonal festivals and cultural food sales that are popular throughout the region. Under its current leadership, the parish focuses on expanding its youth ministry and preserving the Byzantine liturgical heritage in a modern Canadian context.
Rev. Pavlo Myts
Father Pavlo is the pastor of the Dormition of the Mother of God parish in Kelowna, serving the Okanagan Valley. He provides essential liturgical and sacramental services to a vibrant community of faithful in one of British Columbia’s fastest-growing regions. His work involves coordinating parish events and ensuring that the Ukrainian Catholic tradition remains a visible presence in the interior.
